Required Shots
The following shots are required for your pets to utilize our boarding facilities:
- Distemper (DHLP3A2) & parvovirus
- Bordatella (kennel cough)
Recommended Shots and Medication
We recommend that your pets receive the following shots before their stay with us:
- Coronavirus
- Rabies
- Lyme disease shot
- Heart worm pills (out of province/international)
- Health certificate (out of province/international)
Airport Services
We would be more than happy to transport your pet(s) to or from the Vancouver International Airport. Overnight boarding is available for layover flights. We'll deliver your pet(s) back to the airport for the continuing flight.
We can also assist with importation of your pet(s) into the country. We will board your pet until you're settled into your new home and ready to take possession. For this, the only requirements are the provision of one week's notice, prepayment and delivery crates.
Aging Pets
Elderly pets need special care, with all the extra TLC they've come to expect at home. With this in mind, we've created a special, in-home geriatric care facility. You can learn more in the Geriatric and Small Dog Care section.
Special Services
Special complimentary services include a bath ($20.00 value) for all dogs staying at Birch Bark Kennels prior to heading home. All dogs go home as clean or cleaner than when they arrived. We also provide "doggie cookies" at bedtime.
